Operations Forester

Grow your Forestry Career Timberlands Pacific

Timberlands Pacific is seeking a passionate and capable Forester to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to deepen their experience across nursery operations, silviculture, plantation establishment, and stand health and protection, all within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage plantation establishment and silviculture programs, while providing a supporting role in various operational programs that span the estate.

  • Support the delivery of Timberlands Pacific’s Nursery and Tree Breeding Program

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on operational activities and projects

  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders

Environmental Stewardship:

In this role, you will also contribute to:

  • Environmental improvement and rehabilitation initiatives

  • Support for First Nations engagement and partnerships

  • Carbon store monitoring and emissions reduction programs

About You:

You are a proactive and technically minded forestry professional with strong problem-solving and communication skills. You're looking to expand your knowledge and take on a varied role in a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in forestry operations, contract supervision, and operational planning

  • Strong organisational, time management, and project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain constructive working relationships

  • Ability to analyse data, provide informed recommendations, and support continuous improvement initiatives
