Taswood Estate

TIMBERLANDS PACIFIC is responsible, as forest manager, for the public use within the Taswood Estate, which is made up of the radiata pine plantations, located on state forest, across northern Tasmania. See  Map of Taswood Defined Forest Area

See Taswood Area Maps of: North West; Central North; Central North East; North East and Fingal Valley

As the Taswood Estate is located entirely on state forest, individuals have free and full public access. To ensure the health and safety of all users, please refer to the following TIMBERLANDS PACIFIC rules and regulations:

  • Taswood Public and Community Use Guidelines
  • Taswood Public Conditions of Forest Entry
  • Taswood Critical Rules for Forest Operations
  •  Critical Rules for Christmas Tree Collection. TIMBERLANDS PACIFIC supports "Not for Profit" organisations within the community. If your charity organisation wishes to sell Christmas Trees in December, please contact our Launceston Office.

  • Organised Events. If you would like to hold an Organised Event, please contact TIMBERLANDS PACIFIC to obtain information regarding health and safety or environmental hazards you may need to be aware of.

  • No Hunting is Permitted within the Taswood Estate. Recreational hunting gravely impacts on year round lethal game control programs and does not help to reduce wallaby or possum numbers in a meaningful way. Therefore, for the safety of our professional shooters and other forest users, no hunting is permitted within the Taswood Estate, even if permits are obtained externally.

  • No Firewood Collection is Permitted within the Taswood Estate.

TIMBERLANDS PACIFIC is responsible for the day-to-day tending and maintenance of the Taswood Estate, including boundary weed control and fencing. If you have boundary weed control or fencing concerns, please refer to the Taswood Fencing and Boundary Maintenance Guidelines below or contact our Launceston Office.
